How to prevent the air hammer from colliding with the cover

Ⅰ. Regular daily inspection and maintenance

Before starting each shift, check the flexibility of the operating handle. Every week, inspect the spherical check valve of the buffer mechanism to ensure that the steel ball is tightly attached to the valve seat without any cracking or out-of-roundness issues.

2. Regularly tighten the fixing nuts of the working cylinder head and replace the aged and damaged cylinder head gaskets in time to prevent air leakage and pressure loss in the buffer chamber.

3. Every month, clear all the air supply channels to ensure that the buffer chamber can be normally filled with compressed air and maintain the rated buffer pressure.

Ⅱ. Specialized Control of Key Components

Regularly inspect the plug cover on the top surface of the hammer rod piston. If any looseness is found, immediately redo the interference fit and rivet it firmly. If there are sand holes or cracks, repair them by welding in time.

2. Verify the designed height from the upper air passage opening to the top of the cylinder. If the size is insufficient, a gasket can be added to the top of the cylinder to raise it to ensure that the buffer stroke meets the standard.

Ⅲ. Standardize operation management

1. Operators must be certified to work. It is strictly prohibited to forcefully pull the control handle to quickly switch the heavy strike mode to prevent the hammer head from suddenly speeding up.

2. Strictly control the hammer lifting dwell time to no more than one minute to prevent insufficient pressure due to gas leakage in the buffer chamber and loss of buffer protection.

3. Conduct the first disassembly and inspection of the new equipment half a month after its use. Subsequently, disassemble and clean it periodically, and replace the worn parts that exceed the standard in a timely manner.

How to deal with the emergency of the air hammer hitting the cover

Ⅰ. Emergency shutdown for risk Avoidance

Immediately cut off the power supply of the equipment and shut down the power air source. Move the operation handle to the idle position as soon as possible to ensure that the hammer head has completely stopped. Avoid secondary impact or injury from component splashing. Ensure on-site safety isolation.

Ⅱ. Preliminary on-site Investigation

1. Check whether the cylinder head fixing bolts are broken and whether the cylinder block is cracked. After confirming that there is no risk of structural fracture, proceed with subsequent maintenance.

2. Inspect the relevant components of the buffer chamber: Check whether the cylinder head nut is loose, whether the sealing gasket is damaged, and whether the steel ball check valve is cracked or failed.

Ⅲ. Rapid Fault Handling

1.Tighten the loose cylinder head nuts and directly replace the damaged gaskets, failed steel balls and springs.

2. If the plug cover on the top surface of the piston is loose, re-fit it with an interference fit and rivet it firmly. If there are sand holes or cracks, they should be repaired by welding.

3. When it is confirmed that the height from the upper airway to the top of the cylinder is insufficient, install a gasket at the top of the working cylinder to raise it and restore the pressure in the buffer chamber.

Ⅳ. Test run Verification

After all the maintenance is completed, manually rotate the vehicle to confirm there is no jamming first, then conduct a low-speed test run under no-load conditions. Only after confirming there are no abnormal impact sounds can normal operation be resumed.
