Common problems in machining center systems mainly include mechanical failures, abnormal signals, and machining accuracy issues. The following are specific classifications and countermeasures:


Mechanical system failure

1. Abnormal spindle system ‌

Heating and precision decline ‌ : Dust mixed into the lubricating grease of the main shaft bearing leads to a decline in lubrication effect, causing heating and noise. The bearing needs to be replaced and the clearance readjusted (radial ≤±0.02mm, axial ≤0.03mm), and the conical hole should be ground at the same time to restore positioning accuracy.

The steel ball of the ‌ pull rod is damaged ‌ : the steel ball of the tool holder tensioning mechanism was damaged due to the tool not being fully released when the tool was pulled out. The seal of the booster cylinder needs to be replaced and the pressure parameters adjusted.

2.Guide rail system problem ‌

Abnormal lubrication ‌ : Insufficient oil level in the guide rail oil pump or clogged filter screen can lead to increased friction. It is necessary to replenish oil and clean the filter screen.

Loose connection ‌ : The parallelism of the heavy hammer guide rail needs to be recalibrated if it is loose, and the worn chain needs to be replaced and lubricated. ‌

Signal and control faults

1.The handwheel operation is abnormal

Poor contact ‌ : The contact points of the handwheel shaft selection/ratio switch are oxidized. It is necessary to enter the system diagnosis to check the contact point status and replace the switch.

 line fault ‌ : If the connection line is broken, use a multimeter to check the continuity and replace the damaged line.

2. tool magazine and tool changing problems

Insufficient air pressure ‌ : Check if the air pressure gauge meets the standard (6 kilograms ±1 kilogram). Pipeline leakage needs to be repaired.

Insufficient tool release ‌ : Adjust the tool release to an appropriate range (usually until the tool is released smoothly), and check the operation of the solenoid valve.

Processing accuracy issue

 1. Improper parameter Settings

Uncompensated backlash ‌ : Use a dial indicator to correct the backlash error and adjust the compensation value. ‌

Servo parameter mismatch ‌ : Re-match parameters such as load inertia and gain value. ‌

2.tool and workpiece interference

Tool mark issue ‌ : During finish milling, full climb milling is adopted, the feed position and cutting parameters are adjusted, and special cutting oil is used to reduce vibration. ‌

Main shaft movement ‌ : Check the wear of the bearings and repair or replace the worn parts. ‌

Daily maintenance suggestions

Regularly check the cleanliness of the main shaft taper hole and the working condition of the lubrication system to avoid overloading operation. Replace worn parts (such as sealing rings and belts) in a timely manner to ensure that the air pressure remains stable at around 6 kilograms.
