The indexing function of the CNC lathe chuck achieves the Angle positioning of the workpiece through hydraulic or mechanical structures. The specific operation is as follows:
I. Principle of Indexing Function
Hydraulic indexing : The indexing disc is driven to rotate by a 90° or 45° indexing piston, and precise indexing is achieved by using thrust bearings and needle roller bearings
Mechanical indexing : It adopts a worm gear pair (such as a universal indexing head) or a rat-tooth disc structure, and completes indexing through the meshing of positioning pins or tooth discs
Ⅱ. Operating Steps
preparation stage :
Ensure that the chuck is fixed to the workpiece and the pressure of the hydraulic system is normal.
Select the indexing mode (such as 90° or 45° indexing).
performs indexing :
Hydraulic indexing: Start the corresponding indexing piston and push the indexing disc to rotate to the target Angle.
Mechanical indexing: Rotate the handle or start the servo motor, and position through the worm gear or mouse tooth disk.
Lock the workpiece : After the indexing is completed, the pressing piston or hydraulic cylinder automatically locks the indexing disc.
Ⅲ. Precautions
Before indexing, it is necessary to check whether the bearings and hydraulic circuits are normal to avoid jamming.
When dividing the rat's dental disc, it is necessary to ensure that the number of teeth matches; otherwise, arbitrary Angle division cannot be achieved.
Regularly maintain the lubrication system to extend the service life of the indexing mechanism.
