How to determine if the height of a CNC center is too low?
I. Measuring Tools and Preparations
Tools : dial indicator, magnetic base, inspection shaft (with the same diameter as the tailstock sleeve).
Preparation : Install the dial indicator on the magnetic base, attach it to the main shaft, and ensure that the probe is in contact with the inspection shaft.
Ⅱ. Measurement Steps
Clamp the inspection shaft : Clamp the inspection shaft in the tailstock sleeve to ensure it is coaxial with the main shaft.
Adjust the dial indicator : Move the dial indicator probe to contact the inspection axis and adjust the pointer on the dial to zero.
Measure height difference : By moving the Z-axis of the CNC machining center, measure the height difference of the inspection axis at different positions. The maximum difference recorded in the dial indicator reading is the deviation between the center height of the tailstock and the center height of the main shaft rotation.
Ⅲ. Judgment Criteria
Allowable deviation : The center height of the tailstock should be 0.005-0.02mm higher than the center of rotation of the main shaft.
Method of judgment :
Center height too low : If the dial indicator reading shows that the center height of the tailstock is lower than the center height of the main shaft rotation, or the deviation exceeds the allowable range, adjustment is required.
Youdaoplaceholder0 adjustment method : Add a gasket between the tailstock base and the main body, and the thickness needs to be ground with a grinding machine.
Iv. Precautions
Regular inspection : Regularly inspect the wear of the guide rails to prevent changes in the center height due to wear.
Accuracy verification : After adjustment, re-measurement is required to ensure that the error is within the allowable range.
Through the above steps, you can accurately determine whether the height of the CNC center is too low and make corresponding adjustments based on the measurement results.
