The core working principle of the rubber roller machine (specifically referring to the precision grinding roller machine used for processing rubber rollers) is to control the relative movement between the grinding wheel and the rubber roller through a high-precision numerical control system, precisely grinding the surface of the rubber roller to restore or improve its geometric accuracy and surface finish.
The entire process is like an experienced craftsman carving a precise work of art, mainly consisting of the following key steps:
1. Clamping and centering : First, install the rubber roller to be processed between the two centers of the machine tool, ensuring that its axis is precisely aligned with the rotation center of the machine tool spindle. This is the foundation for ensuring processing accuracy. Any slight eccentricity will lead to uneven grinding.
2. Parameter setting and startup : The operator sets grinding parameters in the numerical control system based on the material, size, wear condition of the rubber roller and the final precision requirements, such as the speed of the grinding wheel, the speed of the workpiece (rubber roller), the feed rate, the grinding depth, etc.
3. Precision grinding : After the machine tool is started, the high-speed rotating grinding wheel moves along the axial and radial directions of the rubber roller under the precise control of the numerical control system. The grinding wheel grinds the surface of the rubber roller with a tiny cutting amount, gradually removing the unevenness, scratches or crystalline layers on the surface. During the grinding process, the system will monitor the grinding force, vibration and temperature in real time to ensure the stability of the processing.
4. Online detection and closed-loop control : High-end rubber roller machines are usually equipped with online detection devices such as laser diameter gauges. During the grinding process, the inspection equipment will measure the diameter and roundness of the rubber roller in real time and feed the data back to the numerical control system. The system automatically adjusts the grinding parameters based on the feedback information, forming a closed-loop control to ensure that the final processing accuracy meets the set requirements.
5.Surface polishing (optional) : After completing rough grinding and fine grinding, some processes will use finer grit grinding wheels or polishing wheels to polish the surface of the rubber roller to achieve a lower surface roughness (Ra value), meeting the extremely high surface quality requirements of applications such as printing and optical film production.
