There are multiple explicit prohibitions when the swing-arm drilling machine is in operation. These requirements are the core operational red lines to ensure personal safety and prevent equipment damage. Specifically, they can be classified into the following major categories
Ⅰ. Prohibitions on Personnel Operation Behaviors
Do not operate while wearing gloves or scarves: to prevent gloves and fabrics from being caught in the rotating main shaft or drill bit, which may cause limb entanglement accidents.
unqualified personnel are strictly prohibited from operating the machine alone : Personnel who are not familiar with the performance of the equipment and have not received operation training are not allowed to operate the equipment independently.
strictly prohibit body parts from approaching rotating components : the head must not approach rotating tools, and hands are prohibited from touching, flipping, squeezing or measuring rotating workpieces.
It is strictly prohibited to be distracted and leave the post during operation : During work, it is forbidden to talk to others, leave the operating equipment without permission, and it is even more forbidden to doze off or be distracted.
Do not work in slippers or with open clothing : Do not work in slippers or naked. The hem of the upper garment must not be left open. Long hair must be fully tucked into the work cap.
Ⅱ. Prohibitions on clamping and processing methods
It is strictly prohibited to drill holes by holding workpieces : under no circumstances is it allowed to directly hold workpieces by hand for drilling operations. Small pieces must be clamped with vise or special fixtures.
It is strictly prohibited to start the equipment under load : Drilling operations must not commence before the drilling machine's rotational speed reaches the rated speed.
Do not change speed while driving : During the operation of the equipment, do not switch the speed gear to avoid damaging the transmission gears.
It is strictly prohibited to drill directly on an inclined plane : the drill bit must be perpendicular to the plane to be processed. It is forbidden to drill directly on the surface of an inclined workpiece to prevent the drill bit from breaking and slipping.
Strictly prohibit drilling of brittle and dangerous materials : It is absolutely forbidden to drill brittle substances such as ceramics and glass, and the side of the drill bit must not be used as a cutting tool.
Ⅲ. Prohibitions during Equipment Operation
It is strictly prohibited to change tools or clean chips while the equipment is in operation : During the cutting process of the equipment, it is forbidden to change tools, inspect parts, troubleshoot or clean chips.
It is strictly forbidden to pull iron filings directly by hand : When long iron filings are entangled on the drill bit, the machine must be stopped and cleaned with an iron hook or brush. It is strictly prohibited to blow the iron filings by wind, hand pulling or mouth blowing.
No one is allowed to stand within the rotation range of the rocker arm : No one is allowed to stand within the rotation operation range of the rocker arm and the cross arm to prevent injury from bumps during the rotation of the rocker arm.
Strictly prohibit the spindle from colliding with the limit blocks during motor feed : It is forbidden for the spindle to directly strike the upper and lower limit blocks during motor feed to avoid damaging the transmission structure.
Do not rotate the rocker arm more than ±180° : During operation, do not rotate the rocker arm in the horizontal direction more than ±180° to prevent the pipeline from being pulled and broken.
Ⅳ. Work Environment and Detailed Prohibitions
It is strictly prohibited to stack any miscellaneous items on the rocker arm or the worktable : measuring tools, wrenches and other irrelevant items must not be placed under the cross arm or on the worktable to prevent them from falling, bumping into the equipment or hindering the movement of the rocker arm.
It is strictly prohibited to wipe the moving parts with cotton yarn or towels : During the operation of the equipment, it is forbidden to wipe the rotating drill bit or spindle with towels or cotton yarn to prevent the fabric from being drawn in.
It is strictly prohibited to stop the machine before the drill bit is retracted from the workpiece : During the drilling process, the spindle operation must not be stopped before the drill bit is completely retracted from the workpiece to prevent the drill bit from getting stuck inside the workpiece.
It is strictly prohibited to force the operation of equipment with faults : If abnormal sounds, severe vibration, blocked oil passage, or abnormal local temperature rise are found in the equipment, it is forbidden to force it to continue operation.
