Cleaning steps for the filter screen of the lubrication system of a CNC lathe
1. Remove the filter screen
Shut down the system : Ensure that the lubrication system of the CNC lathe is turned off and the power is cut off.
Unline the oil filter : Switch the oil filter to be cleaned to the unline position, slightly open the air release valve at the top of the oil filter, and after confirming that no oil is flowing out, close the air release valve.
Remove the filter screen : Open the top end cover of the oil filter and carefully remove the filter screen to avoid damaging its structure.
2. Clean the filter screen
Initial cleaning : Gently tap the filter screen to remove surface dust, or use an electric vacuum cleaner to dust it.
Deep cleaning :
When there is a heavy amount of oil stains : soak in aviation cleaning kerosene or industrial alcohol for 24 hours, and squeeze out repeatedly until there is no dirt.
General dirt : Rinse with a neutral detergent (the ratio of detergent to water is 5:95), with the water temperature not exceeding 45℃. Avoid using strong detergents such as laundry detergent and gasoline.
Rinsing and drying : Thoroughly rinse the filter screen with clean water, place it in a cool place to dry, avoiding direct sunlight or open flame drying.
3. Reinstall the filter screen
Check the filter screen : ensure that the filter screen is completely dry and free from deformation.
Install the filter screen : Pass the filter screen along the arrow direction through the front cover slot and push it in sequence until it is fully inserted into the front cover.
Sealing and oiling : After installing the filter screen, immediately inject the lubricant of the specified brand and grade to avoid missing the lubrication points after cleaning.
Precautions
Safe operation : Keep away from fire sources when cleaning and ensure good ventilation; The operation of the air release valve should be slow to prevent oil splashing.
Avoid damage : Do not break the filter screen when cleaning; otherwise, a new filter screen needs to be replaced.
Regular maintenance : It is recommended to clean the filter screen regularly (such as once every six months) to ensure the normal operation of the lubrication system.
