Key points of lubrication
Regular lubrication : Check the oil level of the lubrication system daily to ensure the use of ISO VG32 guide rail oil or NLGI grade 2 grease, and replenish high-temperature resistant grease every 500 hours.
Lubrication after cleaning : After disassembling the drill bit, clean the conical surface, apply anti-rust oil and then store it to avoid dry friction causing it to get stuck.
Storage points
Dry and dust-proof : Drill bits should be stored upright in a dry environment. Hard alloy blades need to be coated with anti-rust oil and stored separately.
Avoid collision : Fragile components such as ceramic blades should be stored separately and shockproof to prevent damage from bumps and knocks.
By standardizing lubrication and storage, the risk of drill bit jamming can be effectively reduced and its service life can be prolonged.
The handling steps for the stuck drill bit of a vertical drilling machine
Stop immediately and cut off power
When the drill bit is found to be stuck, first turn off the power of the drilling machine to ensure that the equipment has completely stopped running and avoid any accidents during operation.
Try tapping the chuck
Gently tap the side of the chuck with a rubber hammer or wooden mallet (not in the direction of the drill bit). Vibration may cause the internal threads to loosen. At the same time, you can try rotating the chuck counterclockwise to use vibration to assist in loosening.
Use a loosening agent to assist
If tapping is ineffective, you can spray a loosening agent such as WD-40 onto the thread of the chuck. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes for it to penetrate, and then try rotating or tapping. When the rust is severe, the operation can be repeated.
Avoid violent manipulation
It is strictly forbidden to forcefully break with pliers or strike with a hammer to avoid damaging the chuck or drill bit. If the problem still cannot be solved, it is recommended to contact professional maintenance personnel for handling.
